Hello! I am Terry SilverOwl. Throughout this site I will be focusing on creating wands, mostly, so I thought I would take this space to tell you a bit about myself, the actual wand making process, and a few personal points of view.
Let's see... I am in my mid 30's, married, with one of the greatest sons a man could ask for. I live on a huge farm in the upper panhandle of West Virginia which is about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA. I am a country/nature person at heart, but have alot of big city taste and experiences that make me a pretty well rounded person. I took up an interest in Native American Spirituality in my teens. I studied a lot of the old ways of life and slowly began to absorb a lot of the Shamanistic beliefs of my forefathers. Then, in my mid 20's, I met a person of Wicca beliefs. I immediatly fell in love with the craft and instantly began co-habitating the Shaman beliefs with the Wicca ways. Now adays I consider myself a true Witch of flesh formed around the skeleton of a Shaman.
I do not consider myself a psychic, but I do have some abilities. I am able to get what I call "reads" on people. I can generally tell what kind of person you are, what your looking for, and what I might advise you to use to help find it. For example, I can not tell you who you might find to make you happy in your persuit of love, but I can tell if you are looking for love and what might help you find it or draw it to you. I incorporate this into my wand making and I am very seldom wrong according to all of the hundreds of customers that I have dealt with.
I got into the wand making business really by accident. I wanted a wand for myself. I looked for years for the wand I had envisioned in my mind. I looked high and low, but was unable to find it. So one day I realized too much time had passed that I didnt have one. So I set my mind to crafting the one in my mind myself. I thought it was crude and rough, but it was mine. A short time had passed and I was out shopping in a store in Cleveland, OH and saw a sign in the shop about hand made wands for sale. I asked to see one and was really disappointed in the quality of it. I told the shop owner I had one in the car if she would like to see it. She agreed to look at it. When I showed her she flipped out and praised it highly. Still I thought nothing of it. Then, a bit of time passed by and I went to a local shop at a flea market. I showed them a wand I had made and they were also impressed. They told me I needed to make a few and bring to them to sell. I was hesitant, but agreed. Immediatly the wands were a hit and I was getting more orders then I could keep up with. I struggled at first until I found a good solid method of crafting them for people. Once I got the actual method of making them down to a science, I felt I could do more with them. I wanted to make wands for people that truely was for them and no-one else. Please note that I am 100% respectful to what the Lord and Lady has provided me to work with and at no time do I ever harm any trees. I will do everything I can to find trees that have fallen, limbs that the wind has blown off, or if I do have to take a cutting I make sure it is done according to standard rules. I make sure I only take what I must, never taking a cutting to harm the tree, and always ask permission, explain what it is used for, and give a proper thanks offering of food or tobacco.
I thought long and hard about this part. I decided to use my gift of reading people and connect with them and converse with them so I could infuse the info they verbally gave me along with the energies and feelings that I pulled from them with my gift. I started to set up at local events and as each person approached me and told me they wanted a wand, I would take them aside and sit and talk to them a spell. Once I felt I had enough info from them, I would offer them to step aside and watch me make their wand or go shopping at the event and return in one hour to pick up their one of a kind custom wand by me. It was a huge success! More and more people began to search me out for a wand by Terry SilverOwl. So I recently decided to bring this wonderful and fun idea to the Internet and here I am!
Although I am enjoying meeting everyone online and working with some really great people. Nothing will ever replace working with customers face-to-face. So I am offering my services here, but I will continue to reach out and work in public face-to-face with any of you that wish to meet me at events all over the United States. I will post all upcoming events that I will be attending live and in person. Please check out the tour section often and if I'm coming to an area near you come out and see me.
